  • 1/3 cup of butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. evaporated milk
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

Apple Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 sweet apple

Method:

Peel the apple and cut it into quarters. Remove the seed section.

Place the apple into a cooking pot and add enough water to cover it. Put the lid on and bring to the boil over a high heat (for approximately 10 minutes), reduce the heat and slowly boil for another 15 minutes. Once the apples have a mushy consistency, they are done. Place into a blender and puree without adding any other liquids.

Method:

Peel and cut the squash into approximately one inch cubes, removing the seeds. Put the squash into a saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil at a high heat. Once boiled, reduced the heat and simmer for around 45 minutes until tender. Drain and then puree with a food processor or blender.
